There are no rules in "The Game"

Nicholas Van Orton (played by Michael Douglas) is a wealthy San Francisco investment banker whose life is wrapped up in his business, which has left him as somewhat of a loner.

What do you get to someone who has everything? In the year of his 48th birthday (the age his father committed suicide), his brother Conrad (played by Sean Penn) gives him the gift of a lifetime, which would prove to change his perspective on the world and the way that he’s going to live it. It’s the participation in a mysterious game that integrates in strange ways with his life. As the lines between the banker's real life and the game become more uncertain, hints of a large conspiracy become apparent.

When bad things start to happen to you, you start to question what’s really important in live, business, success and money, or actually living?
