Management Slippage

Experience has taught that serious organizational problems and maybe the ultimate closing of a business can be avoided if the management team and its advisors proactively look for  and respond to warning signals than might lead to highly problematic situations.
Business-owners and managers who begin to consistently step away from the daily close monitoring and managing of the business, can be the beginning of the end. A business cannot run on autopilot or by off-site management.
When management focus on surviving the moment rather than long-term incremental process improvements or lose touch and dialogue with key customers and suppliers the business will collapse. Often, these partners (i.e. customers and suppliers) see the troubled symptoms very early and alert the management team to resolve the problems.
